The Brainerd Lakes Regional
Airport Commission has a staff of six employees
that performs most of the same functions as
staff at much larger airport.
Four Airport Rescue
Firefighting/Maintenance staff are responsible
for keeping the runways and taxiways safe for
operations and maintaining all airport
facilities in top working order. in addition,
these staff are trained in the operation of the
Brainerd Airport's high-tech firefighting
vehicle as well as all aspects of aviation
firefighting and rescue operations.
The Airport Administrative
Assistant handles airport finances and billing,
tracks and submits required Federal Aviation
Administration and Transportation Security
Administration reports, and is a focal point for
general Brainerd Airport operations and
questions.
The Airport Manager reports
directly to the Airport Commission and is
responsible for overall Brainerd Airport
operations, emergency planning, marketing, and
communications.
